electroBIM is a plugin that works in Autodesk Revit® for the design of electrical distribution systems in a BIM environment.
The software allows the management of cable ducts and ducts starting from an archive of commonly used products, taken from the main manufacturers (ABB, Gewiss, Inset, Legrand and others), completely extensible, and associates them with the construction methods provided in Revit for the cable route modeling.
Likewise, electrical users can be defined with a dedicated manager, supported by a navigator that simplifies and speeds up access to electrical data.
Automatic routing functions are available for the optimal placement of cables, to connect the various electrical elements of the system to the distribution panels and find the optimal routes between the various panels and the modeled backbones.
The software carries out the propagation of the powers at the various levels of the system, determines the section of conductors based on the type of cables and the positions used correlated with the paths followed, carries out coordination with the protections provided and calculates the voltage drops at each point of the plant.
Finally, it is possible to check the filling status of the various cable routes, and annotative elements are available to display all the information on the status of the ducts.
electroBIM also allows the exchange of electricity network data defined in Autodesk© - Revit© with the Ampère Professional or Ampère Evolution software as a peculiar element underlying the BIM philosophy, i.e. the sharing of information with the aim of ensuring easy communication and cooperation between the various professional figures involved in the design and construction of a building, during the entire life cycle of the work.
electroBIM therefore allows you to exploit the calculation potential of Electro Graphics software and transfer the results of the processing into a BIM design environment according to a data exchange logic, where the users and the links between them are bound by the network defined in the Revit project.
